Ruth Freese

Speech and Language Therapist

Ruth is a Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist and Clinic Manager at our Sloane Square Clinic. She qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Human Communication Science from University College London. Since qualifying in 2006 she has worked in both the NHS and in private practice.

Ruth is passionate about working with children with complex needs such as Cerebral Palsy and Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Ruth has worked with children in this population in early years, mainstream and specialist settings.  Ruth has wide-ranging experience supporting children with Developmental Language Disorder, developmental delay and speech sound disorder. Ruth has experience providing and implementing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) methods.

Ruth is trained in administering the ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale) and has also completed specialist training courses including Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Hanen, Nuffield Dyspraxia Programme, Michael Palin PCI Dysfluency, Eating & Drinking difficulties and Family Partnership Model.

Ruth maintains the same vitality in her personal life and enjoys a variety of interests including travel, music, film and cultural events.
