Fiona attained a Master of Art Therapy from La Trobe University and a Bachelor of Visual & Performing Arts from The University of Melbourne. She has also trained in Community Care with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Fiona is a professional member of the British Association of Art Therapists and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. Her therapeutic approach is informed by both psychoanalytic and humanistic theories.
Fiona has over ten years experience working with art in clinical and community mental health, complex needs, residential and social inclusion programs. She has worked with diverse populations; providing art therapy for children and adults who experience psychiatric, learning and intellectual disabilities.
Fiona has practised in a variety of settings in Australia and the UK, including mental health, psychosocial rehabilitation, aged care, psychotherapeutic community and open studio art therapy.
Fiona provides issue based groups and art therapy sessions for individuals with a focus on psychological and emotional growth. She is sensitive to the particular needs and interests of each child and tailors treatment plans accordingly.
