Jackie Harland, a founder of London Children’s Practice, has over 30 years experience as a Speech and Language Therapist. She is currently a Director at LCP. She has set up two educational provisions for children with communication impairments in London and Southern England as well as establishing and multidisciplinary clinics for children in Dubai and Delhi. She is responsible for the professional development and clinical practice of the therapists in these practices.
Jackie has a MA in Early Childhood Development and written a post-graduate training programme for teachers which has been accredited by Anglia Ruskin University at Masters level. She has delivered this course both in London and internationally. Jackie has co-written a standardized screening tool for children between 3 and 6 years which is used in early years provisions in the UK and India.
Jackie works as part of a multidisciplinary diagnostic team at the London Children’s Practice and carries out assessments and medico-legal evaluations. She has experience in assessment and intervention for children with autism, attention deficits, communication disorders and impairments, specific learning and language difficulties as well as speech delays and disorders.
Jackie speaks at international conferences and is regularly asked to carry out training sessions in schools.
