Kimmi is an HCPC and RCSLT registered Speech-Language Therapist from South Africa. She work across our clinic and several schools in South London. Kimmi qualified with a Bachelor of Communication Pathology (Speech-Language Pathology) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa in 2015.
After obtaining her degree she gained experience in working with adults and children with speech, language and communication difficulties in South Africa in the private and public health sectors, providing both assessment and treatment. Kimmi moved to the UK in 2018 where she continued to work with children in special needs.
Kimmi has had the opportunity of working with children in special needs education and main stream schooling in early years, primary, secondary and college levels. Kimmi has experience in working with speech sound and articulation disorders, language delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental conditions, language disorders and social communication disorders. She has a particular interest in the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies and working with school aged children who present with phonological processes and language delays and disorders. Kimmi enjoys being apart of a multidisciplinary team and working alongside teachers, parents and other members health care team.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with friends and family, travelling, reading and hiking.
