Katie is a Director and Senior Speech and Language Therapist at LCP. She qualified as a Speech Pathologist in Australia where she graduated with Honours. Katie has worked with the paediatric population extensively and is dedicated to providing children, and their families, with the skills and supports necessary for them to thrive.
Katie has considerable experience working in the UK and internationally, providing assessment and therapy for a broad range of clients, as well as training for families, fellow speech and language therapists, teachers, psychologists and other associated professionals.
Katie works with paediatric clients of all ages with varied speech and language needs including speech delay/disorder, language delay/disorder, autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and developmental verbal dyspraxia. Katie has a special interest in supporting children with literacy difficulties and stammering.
Katie provides medico-legal assessments, advice, class observations and school suitability assessments. She also participates as a witness in SEND Tribunal proceedings when necessary.
Katie has undertaken regular training including the SCERTS Model for Autism, Makaton, the Camperdown Program (stuttering treatment for teenagers and adults), the Lidcombe Program (stuttering treatment for young children), Hanen: It Takes Two To Talk and the Cellfield Literacy Program.
Outside of work Katie plays the guitar and sings. She also enjoys travelling, reading and tea.
